当前我国区域发展面临双重压力,亟须依托高技术集聚塑造创新优势、提升区域创新能力,这是我国区域发展有效应对挑战的关键。本文以我国30省市为研究对象,采用模糊集定性比较分析方法(fsQCA)并结合区域创新环境要素探索了高技术产业专业化与多样化集聚驱动区域创新能力提升的多元路径与复杂影响机制。研究发现:高技术产业能够通过“专业化集聚—研发资金主导型”“专业化集聚—多样化集聚下多维度协同型”“创新资源—多样化集聚/政府支持—数字经济协同型”3种路径驱动区域创新能力提升,且路径存在地区异质性;依赖于特定创新环境,高技术产业专业化集聚与多样化集聚具有协同效应而非此消彼长;高技术产业专业化集聚、多样化集聚与创新环境之间通过等效替代来提升区域创新能力。研究结论有效揭示了两种高技术产业集聚与创新环境因素联动匹配作用于区域创新能力的复杂机理,扩展了现有研究,使理论充分对话实践,为不同省市提升创新能力提供了针对性实践策略。 |

How Do Specialized and Diversified Agglomeration of High-Tech Industries Affect Regional Innovation Capability?—a Fuzzy Set Qualitative Comparative Analysis Based on Provincial Data in China |

At present, China’s regional development is facing the dual dilemma. It is urgent to rely on high-tech industry agglomeration to shape innovation advantages and improve regional innovation capabilities, which is the key to breaking through the shackles of regional development. It took 30 provinces and cities in China as the research object, adopted the fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis method (fsQCA) and combined the elements of the regional innovation environment to explore the multiple paths and complex influence mechanisms of the specialized agglomeration and diversified agglomeration of high-tech industries to drive the improvement of regional innovation capabilities. The findings are as following. High-tech industries affect regional innovation capabilities through three paths including “specialized agglomeration-R&D capital-led”, “specialized-diversified agglomeration multi-dimensional synergy” and “innovative resources-diversified agglomeration/government support-digital economy synergy”, and the paths have regional heterogeneity. Depending on the specific innovation environment, specialized agglomeration and diversified agglomeration of high-tech industries have synergistic effects rather than incompatibility. High-tech industry specialized agglomeration, diversified agglomeration and innovation environment improve regional innovation capability through equivalent substitution. The conclusions effectively reveal the complex mechanism of the linkage and matching among two high-tech industry agglomerations and innovation environment elements on regional innovation capabilities, expand existing research, make the theory fully communicate with practice, and provide targeted practical strategies for the improvement of innovation capabilities in different areas. |
