Based on institutional theory and attention-based view， it used the data of 326 enterprises to discuss the differential impact mechanism of institutional pressure on ambidextrous digital innovation， and the moderating effect of digital attention of top managers. The results show that both formal institutional pressure and informal institutional pressure play positive effects on exploitative digital innovation and exploratory digital innovation. Formal institutional pressure has a stronger effect on exploitative digital innovation， and informal institutional pressure has a stronger effect on exploratory digital innovation. Formal institutional pressure and informal institutional pressure have a synergistic effect on ambidextrous digital innovation.Top managers’ focused digital attention positively moderates the relationship between formal institutional pressure and exploitative digital innovation， and negatively moderates the relationship between formal institutional pressure and exploratory digital innovation. Whereas top managers’ divided digital attention positively moderates the relationship between informal institutional pressure and exploratory digital innovation， and negatively moderates the relationship between informal institutional pressure and exploitative digital innovation. The conclusions not only enrich the research on the relationship between institutional pressure and ambidextrous digital innovation， but also provide a new perspective for enterprises to carry out ambidextrous digital innovation.
