本文基于敏捷性视角,通过双案例对比研究方法,探讨资源约束情境下,中国跨国企业(CMNEs)如何通过组织敏捷性和资源组合实现朴素式创新。研究发现:资源约束情境下的CMNEs尤其适用朴素式创新,能够带来关注低成本、核心功能和“足够好”性能水平的产品或服务;组织敏捷性是实现朴素式创新的有效途径,自主品牌型企业通过从设计到制造的组织敏捷性实现朴素式创新,而贴牌型企业通过从制造到设计的组织敏捷性实现朴素式创新;CMNEs能够根据组织敏捷性,灵活调整资源组合支持并提升组织敏捷性。研究结论拓展了朴素式创新的相关研究,为CMNEs的成长提供理论借鉴与实践启示。 |

“Do More with Less”: How to Achieve Frugal Innovation for CMNEs Under Constraint of Resource |

Based on the perspective of agility, it discussed CMNEs how to composite resources for organizational agility to achieve frugal innovation in the context of resource constraint by a comparative case study. The results are as follows.Under the context of resource constraint, CMNEs are particularly applicable for frugal innovation, which can bring low-cost products or services focusing on core functions and “good enough” performance levels. Organizational agility is an effective path to achieve frugal innovation, and the path shows great difference due to enterprise type. Independent brand enterprises achieve frugal innovation through top-down organizational agility from design to manufacture, while OEM enterprises achieve frugal innovation through bottom-up organizational agility from manufacture to design. CMNEs can flexibly adjust their resource composition to support and improve organizational agility. The conclusions expand the relevant research of frugal innovation and provide theoretical reference and practical inspiration for the growth of CMNEs. |
