数字化转型是我国制造企业实现高质量发展的有效途径,研究制造企业数字化转型对中国制造业转型升级和可持续发展具有重要意义。基于TOE理论框架,以江苏省内128家正在进行数字化转型的制造企业为研究样本,采用必要条件分析(NCA)和模糊集定性比较分析(fsQCA)方法,从组态视角研究“技术—组织—环境”层面的6个因素如何协同作用影响制造企业数字化转型。研究结果表明:上述6个因素均不足以独立成为制造企业数字化转型的必要条件;制造企业数字化转型是多个前因条件协同作用的结果,具有多种前因组态;制造企业高制造过程数字化水平的前因组态包括数字技术推动型和数字生态主导型;制造企业高商业模式数字化水平的前因组态包括全价值链数字化型和数字生态孕育型。同时,本文亦对制造企业数字化转型非高水平前因组态进行了分析,发现数字技术和业务数字化的不足分别是导致制造过程和商业模式数字化非高水平的关键原因。本文不仅为数字化转型研究提供了新视角,也对我国制造企业数字化转型实践提供了一些有益启示。 |

Digital Transformation Driving Model of Manufacturing Enterprises Based on Configuration Perspective |

Digital transformation is an effective way for manufacturing enterprises to achieve high‐quality development. It is crucial to study the digital transformation of manufacturing enterprises for the upgrading and sustainable development of Chinese manufacturing industry. Using the necessary condition analysis (NCA) and fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) approaches with 128 manufacturing enterprises which are undergoing digital transformation in Jiangsu Province, it examines how the six antecedent factors synergistically affect the digital transformation of manufacturing enterprises based on the theoretical framework of TOE. The results show that: first, none of the six antecedent factors is necessary for digital transformation of manufacturing enterprises; second, digital transformation of manufacturing enterprises is the result of the synergy of multiple antecedent conditions and it has multiple antecedent configurations; third, the antecedent configurations of manufacturing enterprises with high digitalization level of manufacturing processes consist of digital technology-driven and digital ecosystem-driven; fourth, the antecedent configurations of manufacturing enterprises with high digitalization level of business models consist of whole value chain digitalization type and digital ecosystem breeding type. It also analyzed antecedent configurations for the non-high-level of the digital transformation with the conclusion that the insufficiency of digital technology and business digitalization are the key reasons for low level of digitalization of manufacturing processes and business models respectively. It provides a new perspective for the study of digital transformation of manufacturing enterprises, and also provides useful insight for the digital transformation practices of manufacturing enterprises in China. |
