Disruptive innovation is an important form of discontinuous change in enterprises， which plays a critical role in enterprise innovation. Therefore， related researches are plentiful. Firstly， it sorted out and summarized the various connotations of disruptive innovation concept， explained the discontinuous impact of the disruptive effects on the supply side and the demand side of the product， and tightly grasped the connotative characteristics of “failure” produced by both supply and demand sides to re-define and classify disruptive innovation. Secondly， based on the “failure” content of supply and demand sides， promotion and constraints of disruptive innovation were sorted out systematically， and the importance distribution of various factors in different stages of disruptive innovation was analyzed. Then， according to the decentralization status in the implementation mechanism researches of disruptive innovation， and starting from the connotation of disruptive innovation， the implementation paths were classified into three categories： supply discontinuity-demand continuity， supply discontinuity-demand discontinuity， and supply continuity-demand discontinuity. Moreover， the path selection of disruptive innovation and the implementation processes of different paths were analyzed specifically. Finally， it attempted to construct a research framework of disruptive innovation and put forward some suggestions for the future research.
