In the process of cultivating the surrounding host country market， border multinational enterprises urgently need to deal with the consistently unstable institutional environment， and need to capture the effective coping mechanism and process. Based on the perspective of network dynamics， it selected the typical events of the long-term deep cultivation and breakthrough of Yunnan Machinery and Equipment Import and Export Corporation in the Myanmar market， carried out key event path analysis， and explored the mechanism and process. It finds that border multinational enterprises achieve “asymmetric surmount” and overcome the crisis of unstable institutional environment through interacting cross-national economic and social ties； “asymmetric surmount” promotes the embeddedness formatting of network ties to obtain long-term external support and carry the crisis； “asymmetric surmount”promotes border multinational enterprises in border areas to constantly update the interact mode of network ties and transform the environmental impact into a driving force for development. It reveals a new “asymmetric surmount” mechanism of “overcoming-resisting-transformation” for border multinational enterprises to achieve their international development in neighboring host countries. The contribution is to promote the research on the coping process of unstable institutional environments， expand the application scope of network dynamics， and have enlightening significance for the internationalization of Chinese enterprises in the regions with unstable institution.
