The new industrial revolution with the rise of digital economy， the development of digital technology and the emergence of data production factors as the main features has forced global value chains to undergo disruptive changes and reconfiguration， giving birth to digital global value chains （DGVC）. As a new form of value chain， DGVC requires in-depth research on its attribute characteristics， theoretical mechanisms， and dynamic mechanisms to promote further development. Firstly， it systematically reviewed the relevant literature， focusing on the existing concepts related to DGVC， and further expanding them to deepen the understanding of DGVC. Secondly， it extracted the core characteristics of DGVC by summarizing and refining the manifestations of activities related to DGVC in existing research and practice. On this basis， similar concepts such as global data value chains and global value chain digitization were differentiated and analyzed. Thirdly， by combining the characteristics of the digital economy， it identified five major influencing factors of DGVC： input-output structure， factor endowment， governance model， value chain distance and policy environment. Finally， it built a theoretical framework of DGVC around the participating subjects， dynamic mechanisms and development outcomes. Further， based on this framework， it proposed three types of research directions that need to be explored in the future. It helps to improve the systematization of DGVC research， and provides a rigorous and normative reference for its subsequent studies.
