From the perspective of resource management and social cognitive theory， it explored the effects of stabilizing resource bundling and pioneering resource bundling on new product development（NPD） performance. Moreover， it considered the moderating effects of environmental dynamism and managerial negative interpretation on the relationships between resource bundling and NPD performance. Based on the empirical analysis of the data covering 189 enterprises in multiple provinces， it find that both stabilizing resource bundling and pioneering resource bundling have a significant positive impact on firm’s NPD performance， and the positive impact of pioneering resource bundling on NPD performance is stronger than that of stabilizing resource bundling. In addition， environmental dynamism strengthens the positive impacts of stabilizing resource bundling and pioneering resource bundling on NPD performance， and managerial negative interpretation weakens the positive impact of stabilizing resource bundling on NPD performance. It may help enrich the resource management view， and also provides guidance for firms to take appropriate resource bundling actions to improve NPD performance.
